Committees and Study Groups

The AMA Association is an industry association and thus allocates the broad spectrum of sensor and measuring fields to specialized committees and study groups. Technical developments, trends in the sensor and measuring industry, questions on standardization, or the support of marketing activities: the AMA always links up and networks its members.

AMA Council of Elders

Working Group Sensor Industry Directory

The newly established Sensor Industry Directory meets once a year to discuss the nomenclature of the directory, as well as to update and improve it. AMA members are invited to contribute their ideas and suggestions. They will receive a personal invitation with an agenda. 

Working Group Industry 4.0

The Working Group Industry 4.0 is concerned with the key topic “new business models in sensor and measuring technology for Industry 4.0” and thus addresses all AMA members.

 

International Activities Working Group

With the newly established International Activities working group, the AMA promotes an exchange of ideas among its members. Planned topics include: organization of international trade fairs and conference participations domestically and abroad, as well as the and expansion of international contacts. AMA members are invited to participate in this working group.

 

Sales & Marketing Study Group

The AMA supports the marketing activities of its small and medium-sized enterprises and institutes, which consist of the great majority of its members in its Sales & Marketing Study Group. The topics cover everything from statistical marketing observations, trademark and patent protection to e-mail marketing law and the study of media access of the user industries. 


Temperature Study Group

The Temperature Study Group offers AMA members the opportunity to discuss relevant topics dealing with temperature. Especially invited are AMA members who provide (non-optical) contact measuring techniques or services, particularly those using wireless transmission of measuring data.

 

 


Working Group AMA Training

The newly established Working Group AMA Training deals with the future of vocational training and further education. The group deliberates relevant topics, their structure and content. 

 

AMA Science Board

The AMA Science Board represents the 70 academic institutes networked in the AMA Association. Its focus is mainly on research and development, vocational and advanced training, the AMA conferences and symposiums, as well as the initiation of support programs. The AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement also bestows the AMA Innovation Award for outstanding developments in sensor and measuring technology every year.
