AUTOMATION SHANGHAI 2009 – IAC, TME + SENSOR: Closes with good results

AUTOMATION SHANGHAI 2009 – IAC, TME + SENSOR:
Closes with good results

• Over 9,000 highly qualified visitors and congress participants
• Nearly 200 international exhibitors
• Powerful parallel event: PCIM China 2009

A positive mood and high-quality talks – that was AUTOMATION SHANGHAI 2009 – IAC, TME + SENSOR. After three successful days the trade fair closed with good results. AUTOMATION SHANGHAI 2009 is the most important exhibition for the automation, measurement and sensor industries in the Yangtze River Delta region and one of the most important events in China. This year’s exhibition has once again underlined that. It was held at the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center from 2 – 4 June 2009.

The AUTOMATION SHANGHAI 2009 – IAC, TME + SENSOR and PCIM China attracted over 9,000 trade visitors and congress participants and nearly 200 exhibitors from eight countries and regions to Shanghai: Mainland China, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan and USA. And this is divided into 163 for AUTOMATION SHANGHAI with the special areas Embedded China and Machine Vision and 35 for PCIM China. “We are satisfied with the results of AUTOMATION SHANGHAI 2009. Despite the current difficult economic situation worldwide, we are happy with the performance and the constant volume of highly specialized and qualified trade visitors. Together with our partners, Mesago Messe Frankfurt and the AMA German Association for Sensor Technology, we offered the experts at this year’s event a special exhibition and top congresses in the segments of automation, sensors, test and measurement”, declares Axel Bartkus, Managing Director NürnbergMesse China.

The fact that AUTOMATION SHANGHAI – IAC, TME + SENSOR is the right platform for acquiring customers is also confirmed by William Liu, Vice President for Marketing, Turck Sensor: “We have participated at many exhibitions in China, but AUTOMATION SHANGHAI was the best for a long time. This was where we met our customers and held highly qualified talks on our booth.” The same opinion is shared by Wang Lei, Product Marketing Manager Automation Systems, Siemens, China, Automation & Drives Group: “The exhibition really exceeded our expectations. On the first day of the fair our booth was crowded with professional visitors the whole time, and the specialized visitors were very interested in our new products. This year the visitor organization at the IAC fair was, all in all, better than the previous years.”

Highly focused competence and expertise
The AMA German Association for Sensor Technology was represented by the AMA Center for the 5th time, and organized a successful Forum and Conference. Parallel to AUTOMATION SHANGHAI, the Embedded China (Shanghai) 2009 and Machine Vision Exhibition and Symposium China (Shanghai) 2009 was held.

Powerful: PCIM China – exhibition and conference on power electronics
The parallel event PCIM China, China’s leading Exhibition & Conference for Power Electronics, Intelligent Motion and Power Quality / Energy Management, also closed with good results and a successful performance. “Regarding the last three days I’m very satisfied with PCIM China 2009. With highly qualified visitors focusing on power electronics and a well-attended conference the event is on the right track”, said Udo Weller, President of Mesago PCIM.
