The Industry
The facets of sensor technology are as diverse as the definitions for sensors. Some consider sensors to consist only of sensor elements, while others think of sensors solely as binary systems, such as light barriers. Other again regard sensor technology as comprising of measuring systems for the most varied applications including laboratory devices or industrial measuring equipment used in the product automation of everything from cars to space probes and from buildings to safety systems — in other words, technical products which electrically convert non-electrical measuring parameters.
The AMA Association is a representative of the interests of all involved in technical measuring – regardless of the technology, application, or position within the value-added chain.
