AMA Association
Organization
The exceptional competence of the AMA Association is due to the technical committee work performed by its members in these three competence fields:
- Science Committee
- Marketing & Sales
- Technology & Innovation
These competence fields are subdivided into further categories. Marketing & Sales, for example, is divided into International, Working Group Switzerland, Market Statistics & Analysis, and Standards & Directives. This enables an open exchange of experience and ideas in dealing with major topics as a basis for preparing AMA positions. These committees often initiate and oversee membership surveys or more general polls as well as studies and events.
The committee members are elected and their work is honorary. This makes for a short, SME-oriented decision making process. Moreover, this work is generated out of the competence and dedication of the members themselves and their committees; more than 50% participate actively in AMA projects.
This commitment as well as the AMA Association's exceptionally flat organizational structure enables its committees to deal directly with the problems faced by its members and by the industry as a whole.
