“Bachelors & Masters Degrees” Study, November 2004

In its attempt to standardize courses of study and to make graduate degrees more comparable within the EU, German legislation wants to replace the traditional “Diplom” by a master’s degree. For lower qualification, a bachelor’s degree is to be introduced. To take the requirements of the industry into account, as far as the legislation allows, the AMA Science Committee has carried out a small poll in October/November 2004. The results are not representative, but show clear tendencies.
